Meat and dairy workers in Northern NSW who are earning less than $30,000 a year may now join the AMIEU on a special Low Income Ticket.
This ticket provides almost identical benefits to the full membership ticket but at a reduced price. By providing this service to low income workers, those workers can get the representation and support they need to increase their income.
This new Low Income Ticket is another quality service exclusive to AMIEU Newcastle & Northern members.

How much does the Low Income Ticket cost?The Low Income Ticket costs $6.90 per week.
You can also purchase a six-monthly Low Income Ticket for $179.40.
What payment methods do you accept?The Low Income Ticket must be paid either by direct debit, credit card, or direct ticket sale.
Payroll deduction is not available for the Low Income Ticket.
How do I prove that I earn $30,000 a year or less?We will request evidence of income on Aug 1 each year in the form of a group certificate, pay slip history, or Notice of Assessment from the ATO.
You will have until November 1 to provide this information. If no evidence is provided by November 1 the ticket price will increase to a full ticket without further notice.

What differences are there between the Low Income Ticket and a standard ticket?There is only one difference between the two tickets. For Low Income Ticket holders, the To And From Work coverage amount is capped at $2,000 instead of $3,000.
