Now Hiring: Administration Office Manager (Full Time)

We’re a Trade Union based in Newcastle West seeking an experienced Administration Office Manager to take on a Full time position commencing in Early 2019.

Key Tasks Include:

  • Liaise with Branch Secretary with all office issues
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to provide assistance to the team as required.
  • Experience in arranging meetings and functions
  • Experience in arrange flights and accommodation
  • Provide efficient administration support to officials as required
  • Manage car fleet services and maintenance, liaise with officials
  • Building maintenance and repairs as per Secretaries direction
  • Membership administration
    • Develop and train staff in administrative procedures
    • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
    • Update and maintain membership database
    • Present membership reports when required
    • Provide efficient administration and clerical skills
  • Accounting support skills
    • Processing a small weekly payroll in MYOB
    • Superannuation preparation
    • Reconciliations – bank, credit card and general ledger
    • Accounts Payable, Receivable
    • BAS & IAS preparation
    • FBT
    • End of month and general journals

Key Skills:

  • Office management experience
  • Plans, manages and coordinates all administrative functions of the office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Professional Phone manner
  • Clear verbal and written communications skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Experience in an administration, customer service or call center role
  • Support Union Officials
  • Ability to communicate with people of varied nationalities and back grounds.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
  • Accounting support skills
    • Proven accounts experience including BAS, IAS, FBT, EOM, journals, reconciliations, creditors and debtors
    • Experience with ATO Business Portal
    • Extensive MYOB or similar experience

What we offer:

  • Hourly rate of $36.74 plus 13% super
  • Full time – 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week
  • RDO’s

To be successful in this position you will have excellent office management skills, demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, have an ability to meet deadlines and believe in Union values.

Ideally you will have up to two years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in a non-profit organisation would also be highly regarded.
